Sean Lenhart

IMG_0211Sean Lenhart (www.seanlenhart.com, @seanlenhart) is a graduate of Point Park University’s Conservatory Of Performing Arts with a degree in musical theatre. While at school Sean played Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet, and was in the ensemble for The Frogs and Parade. Sean also originated the role of Lord Byron in Mary Shelley and Her Frankenstein. Right out of school Sean was cast in lead roles by Undercroft Opera in The Elixir of Love, The Medium, La Traviata, Il Tabarro, Suor Angelica, and as Figaro in The Marriage Of Figaro. The Pittsburgh Savoyards cast Sean in lead roles in Trial By Jury, The Pirate King in Pirates Of Penzance, Princess Ida, and The Mikado. Sean is a member of The Pittsburgh Opera Chorus and was seen in The Abduction From The Seraglio. Microscopic Opera cast Sean as Farmer Bean in Fantastic Mr. Fox, Three Decembers, and Riders To The Sea. Sean was happy to work with Resonance Works in their award-winning production of The Elixir Of Love.

Sean played the title role of Hamlet with Food For Groundlings as well as Guildenstern in Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead with Greensburg Civic Theater. Sean played John Jasper in The Mystery Of Edwin Drood and Pirelli in Sweeney Todd with Stage 62. DGM Productions in Scranton saw Sean in Company and in Tick Tick Boom. Front Porch Theatricals cast Sean as Hugh Dorsey in Parade. He originated the role of The Writer in the Pittsburgh New Works Festival play Writer’s Block. South Park Theater cast Sean as Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet and Sean later played Cassius in Julius Caesar.

Sean offers private acting coaching to a number of students. Sean directed Pirates of Penzance for the Pittsburgh Savoyards to great reviews as well as the covers performance of Undercroft Opera’s Madama Butterfly. The original parody opera Super Smash Opera was co-conceived, written, directed, and acted by Sean as well as other members of the Cryptic Canticles. Sean is a proud member of Bee Audio, Media Music Now, Inter Voice Over, Somatone Interactive, and ACX. The audiobooks he has narrated can be found on Audible.com, Amazon.com, and iTunes. He can be found voice acting online in several anime abridged series.
